I tried finding a picture of me and Kate with our septum rings in full glory, however I couldn't find one so you'll all have to settle for this old school ultra cutesy one.

I stretched up my piercing today, not much just one gauge thicker and though it doesn't hurt a lot it is nice to have a bit of pain there. The new retainer feels clunky in my nose and that with the pain is a nice reminder of the promises made with the piercing and a connection to the past. It is almost a year later and funny how little the time seems until I sit back and take stock of what has actually taken place. Kate's taken off across the country, I've gotten back in school and she and I are miles more the wiser.

I miss my HLM, but here's to the future and never forgetting the past.
